ADVANCE NOTICE

Melbourne Polytechnic will soon be seeking to engage a suitably qualified supplier to provision of programmed preventative maintenance and repairs of fire and building essential safety systems via an open invitation process. It will release an open invitation to market via the Victorian Government www.tenders.vic.gov.au website the week commencing 20 February 2023.

Why is this happening?

Melbourne Polytechnic must ensure that fire and essential safety systems for all its campuses operate to their maximum efficiency and are maintained to applicable Australian standards and building codes.

The successful tenderer will have the rights to provide preventative maintenance and repairs to the Institute’s buildings servicing the fire and essential safety system in accordance with the upcoming tender specification and requirements.

The contract will include minor repairs during preventative maintenance services but will not include major upgrades or minor works.

Communication

To ensure fairness and equity to all suppliers, it is requested that you do not ask Melbourne Polytechnic staff any questions relating to the procurement and proposed appointment of a preferred supplier. During the procurement process, all communication must be in accordance with the conditions within the Invitation to Supply. It is anticipated that a supplier briefing will be held during the open invitation process.

Melbourne Polytechnic will not respond to any questions during this advance notice period.
