Architectural Services Boat Harbour Beach SLSC new club rooms

⁠⁠⁠Council has endorsed a Master Plan for the redevelopment of the Boat Harbour Beach foreshore area.

The Master plan can be viewed on the Council website.

The Master Plan intent has been developed into a precinct development plan.
Council has lodged (December 2022) a development application for the project.

The three main precinct elements relevant to this project are:

• New Boat Harbour Beach Surf Life Saving Club (BHBSLSC) building including club rooms, operational spaces, cafe, and public amenities.
• New Civil Works: roads, carparking, stormwater, sewer pump station relocation and ancillary works. This will include demolition of the existing public amenities and BHBSLSC club rooms
• Foreshore landscaping including play spaces and support infrastructure including signage/interpretive signage.

Specialist consultants have been retained by Council to design and document the works associated with Civil works and Foreshore landscaping. The detailed designs for these elements will progress in concert with the detailed building design.

A detailed concept design for the new building were prepared by Licht Architecture in support of the development application for the project.

Council and the BHBSLSC have endorsed the plans and there are community expectations that the form and function of the building delivered will be substantially consistent with the agreed concept.
Council requires the services of an Architect and sub consultant team to undertake the detailed design and documentation of the new building and consolidate the Civil works and Foreshore landscaping design inputs into one tender package.
