Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) is seeking proposals for advisory support relating to the negotiation and renewal of the Western Australian (WA) thoroughbred racing media and other related commercial rights arrangements.
WA thoroughbred racing media rights are currently held exclusively by SKY. As part of this process, RWWA and its member racing clubs (as the ultimate rights holders) are keen to explore all potential partner opportunities and, hence, are seeking advisory/consultancy support with:
- specific experience of successfully partnering on commercial rights in racing and wagering, ideally including direct domestic and international experience to bring forward various model concepts.
KEY OBJECTIVES
RWWA is seeking to:
- maximise the commercial value of WA thoroughbred racing media rights;
- expand the distribution and audience of WA thoroughbred racing domestically and internationally;
- enhance the presentation of WA thoroughbred racing;
- secure a media rights partner, or suite of partners, who share RWWA's passion and vision for WA thoroughbred racing; and
- deliver a long-term partner or partners to provide revenue and investment certainty to RWWA and its member race clubs as the WA thoroughbred racing industry transitions to a new operating model.
