As part of the Banyule City Council’s Capital Works Programme for the year 2022-2023, Council is planning to upgrade the existing single glazed windows at the WaterMarc Warm Water Pool to a double glazed solution. The WaterMarc Warm Water Pool is located at 1 Flintoff St, Greensborough.

The scope of works is generally as depicted in Appendix A, which includes but is not limited to:

A total of 33 window panes are within the scope, with general dimensions provided in the schematic drawings included within the RFT package (to be verified by the contractor on site);

  • The new double glazing should provide the following performance:
  1. Reduce heat loss by a minimum of 80% compared to the existing glazing;
  2. Eliminate all condensation caused by the windows, including in between the two glazes and internally;
  3. Window frame to match the existing aluminium frame;
  4. The glass is to comply with AS1288 Glass in Buildings and other relevant standards stated in the scope document;
  5. Detailed description/specification of the product is to be provided;
  6. All material used to be suitable for corrosive pool environment; and
  7. Warranty of 5 years minimum on product including labour, without any degradation of the material installed.
  • The contractor is also required to provide a program for the proposed works (including anticipated warm water pool shutdown) as well as provide a methodology that addresses safe work operations whilst the building is in operation.
In addition to the above, Contractors are to visit the site and make their own investigation and assessment of site conditions. Contractors will have the opportunity to visit the site with the Project Engineer present at WaterMarc on 30 January 2023 at 11:00 am.
