Loading Platform Renewal

⁠⁠⁠Mansfield Shire Council is seeking to engage the services of an expedience and qualified contractor to restore and renew the Railway Loading Platform at the Mansfield Station Precinct as part of the Master plan for the site. The goods loading platform is of significance to the history of rail transport for the town.

Site inspections and an OH&S assessment have been conducted and recommends that renewal works are undertaken. Significant sections of the platform concrete retaining walls have collapsed. The assessments recommended removal and renewal of the existing retaining walls.

The adjacent crane to the platform will also be reinforced to increase its stability. The steps to the fixed crane do not comply to Australian Standards and will be removed.
