Tender Description

This project will undertake social research into the failures of livestock owners to comply with livestock property to property movements. The Department is seeking documented evidence for the desired outcomes for the livestock species including cattle (electronic tag), sheep (visual/electronic tag) and goats (visual/electronic tag).

Recommendations will be focused on how we can improve the process of capturing and recording livestock lifetime traceability voluntarily or by assistance and make focused changes beneficial to producers undertaking this function in NSW.

An understanding of the basics of National Livestock Identification system (NLIS), why it is in place, its purpose and a basic understanding of the livestock traceability requirements for cattle, sheep and goats is a must.

Availability to commence immediately, adequately skilled resources in the subject matter and finalise the contract by June 2023 is also a major consideration.
