Tender Description
The purpose of this tender is to engage the services of Surveillance dogs to detect the presence of Queensland Fruit Fly larvae in orchards.
PIRSA is currently responding to several outbreaks of Queensland Fruit Fly (Q-Fly) in the SA Riverland. Detecting sites at which Q-Fly larvae are present is important in delimiting those outbreaks as well as responding to new sites early and before the pest has become established. PIRSA is seeking to establish a panel arrangement of Surveillance Detector Dog suppliers. This panel will assist PIRSA Biosecurity in efforts eradicate the Queensland fruit fly within South Australia.
