DEF8101 Market Scan Activity - Personal Electronic Countermeasures and Remote Find and Neutralise technologies. Submissions must be lodged to def08101.acquisitions@defence.gov.au.
DEF08101 seeks to conduct market scans for individual ADF personnel next generation PECM systems capable of delivering protection for individuals against an evolving Radio Controlled (RC) Explosive Hazards (RCEH) threat. The requirements sought are for high Technical Readiness Level (TRL) capabilities or production systems that could meet the need within the constraints of size, weight and power considerations, and within a delivery timeframe that addresses speed to capability and continuous modernisation. The PECM system must be able to inhibit multiple RC triggers, be modular and sufficiently agile to meet changes in RC triggers, and be configurable to reliably operate in various environments.
To complement the evolution of the PECM capability DEF08101 also seeks to scan the market for RFN capabilities which will assist in the detection, analysis, neutralisation, clearance and disposal of explosive hazards on operations. The RFN capability requirements will seek to enhance and evolve the existing Neutralisation and Search capabilities, and look to provide contemporary littoral, land and aerial payload capabilities that can assist in the detection, analysis, neutralisation and clearance of Explosive Hazards (EH) threats or remnants of war.
An EH is any explosive munition or device, whether conventional (such as landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised mine systems) or non-conventional (including improvised explosive devices and other emergent payloads such as Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and autonomous systems) that poses a risk of harm or disruption to personnel, infrastructure, or operations through explosive means.
The prevalence and sophistication of explosive hazards in contemporary theatres of conflict is continuously evolving and DEF08101 seeks to understand the market for technologically mature RFN solutions and PECM systems.
High level Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) for industry consideration are provided as Enclosures and should you be able to provide high TRL solutions that meet all, or part of the RFN and PECM TPMs, we would welcome you to submit a brochure/s (No more than 2 Pages per product) of your available product/s.
