Tender Description
Australian Energy Market Operator Limited (AEMO) is the organisation responsible for operating eastern, south-eastern and western energy markets and systems in accordance with the National Electricity Rules, Wholesale Electricity Market Rules, National Gas Rules and Gas Services Information Rules. With its broad national focus for the future, AEMO’s objectives are to promote efficient investment in and operation of Australia’s electricity and gas services for the long-term interests of consumers with respect to price, quality, safety, reliability and security of energy supply.
Following the Coordinator of Energy’s determination to trigger the Non-Co-optimised Essential System Services (NCESS) procurement process for a Peak Demand Service and Minimum Demand Service on 16 December 2022, AEMO is now seeking submissions for provision of these services from capable providers in the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).
AEMO may procure these services from one or more providers, following evaluation of the submissions in accordance with the NCESS Service Specification (Reliability).
The submissions must be provided via the Vendor Panel system in accordance with the tender for submissions form by 5:00pm AWST on Tuesday 21 March 2023.
The NCESS Service Specification (Reliability) and the tender submission form are both included.
