Tender Description
Scope of Work
Rio Tinto requires the supply and delivery of medications and medical consumables including administrative support services.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:
(a) supply, including Doctor approvals process for medications, within timeframes and expiry date range prescribed;
(b) accepting returned products for disposal;
(c) IT platform that provides an e-catalogue option for the placement and tracking of orders;
(d) cold chain management and advice;
(e) recall management and advice;
(f) tailored packaging supplied, cold chain temperature monitoring for transport;
(g) chain of custody, security controlled, tracked delivery and updates to Rio Tinto;
(h) drug information sheets for medications approved supplied;
(i) labels / QR codes for medications and regular consumables supplied;
(j) will review in consultation with Rio Tinto the options for a dispensing system for medications with higher levels approval for implementation as agreed and directed by Rio Tinto;
(k) minimum annual review of approved lists with Poisons Permit Doctor and Rio Tinto for medications and goods approved list, reviews may be more regular as required by Rio Tinto, the Doctor or Supplier initiated;
(l) manage the final list approved medications and consumables in consultation with Poisons Permit Doctor and Rio Tinto; and
(m) reporting to Rio Tinto on a monthly basis including supply, returns, costs and so on.
The Supplier must have a dedicated Account Manager who has a medical professional background for input to work with Rio Tinto and the Doctor on a regular basis, to ensure medical governance and compliance across the Rio Tinto operations in which the services are provided.
