Recently, the livestock export industry undertook a simulation exercise was to understand gaps in the industry’s preparedness and capacity to respond to an exotic animal disease (EAD) incursion within the supply chain, and in particular for livestock export ships on the water. The simulation exercise identified a series of follow-up actions required.
This project is intended to address these actions and better prepare the livestock export industry to manage the risks to livestock in the supply chain, particularly on ships, in the event of an EAD in Australia, namely from Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD).
LiveCorp is seeking responses from suitably qualified consultants to address the Terms of Reference. All proposals are due by 5pm Friday 9 December 2022.
