Tender Description
We are looking to engage a Te Arawa Researcher to be part of the Rotorua Museum Opening Exhibitions Project. This role will support our iwi engagement team, who are currently implementing a comprehensive engagement strategy with Te Arawa iwi/hapu and B Company 28 Maori Battalion descendants.
The Te Arawa Researcher will ensure the full findings of this engagement work is made available to the exhibition company and project team, to inform the development of the opening exhibition programme. As part of this work the Te Arawa Researcher will:
- Attend all Te Arawa iwi/hapu hui and B Company Maori Battalion hui called by the project team, and within a fortnight of each hui, provide a summary of korero and key themes captured
- Analyse and summarise findings, including key themes, from the iwi/hapu online survey data
- Provide an overall report, by a mutually agreed date, that identifies the key themes, particular taonga that support each theme, identify any particular iwi/hapu members who can support interpretation, and any other information the project team requests
The Te Arawa Researcher may also be required to:
- Undertake independent research into specific taonga/stories
- Attend other project hui as required
