This project is to replace the existing single span bridge over the Hopkins River on Helendoite Road, Maroona with the supplied InQuik Bridging System, as provided by Council and in accordance with the tender schedules, drawings, and specification.

The tender is for the demolition of the existing bridge, including abutments and the installation of the new bridge, including foundations, using the InQuik bridging system. Associated tie in and approach works, including road approach and guard rail, are also included in the tender scope. Council will supply the InQuik Bridging System including the abutments, deck, and bridge rail componentry, and will be delivered on site for installation by the contractor. A full set of installation and engineering drawings will also be supplied. Contractors are encouraged to look the InQuik Bridging System manual provided with this tender, to ensure they understand the installation process.

The Integral Bridge System includes all necessary components for a 2 span x 12m min (total length 25m) semi integral bridge deck (8.4m min wide), 2 x integral abutments and 1 x standard headstock, including bearings and associated bridge railings. The components are all pre-fabricated with the reinforcement and formwork, where they are simply placed on site, the required loose reinforcement is tied between the elements as detailed in the drawings, and filled with concrete. The bridge and foundations are designed in accordance with AS 5100:2017.

The Contractor shall be responsible for all labour, materials, plant hire, freight, fees, and other sundry expenses required to complete the works as part of their scope.

Strict environmental controls shall be adhered to, including protection to the existing creek and native vegetation on site when delivering the project and storing on site.
