Via the Hope Research Fund, Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to invite applications for the 2023 Lung Foundation Australia - Helen Irving Memorial Award for Innovation in Lung Cancer Research valued at $30,000 + GST over a maximum of 3 years.
Helen Irving bravely battled her lung cancer diagnosis for ten years. Helen and her husband, Richard, were frustrated by the length of time for Helen to receive the diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer, stage four, EGFR mutation, and the delay in time for treatment to begin. Richard views this grant as a way to keep Helen’s memory alive and welcomes applications related to improving lung cancer treatments, with a preference for research in Immunotherapy.
