Via the Hope Research Fund, Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to invite applications for the 2023 Lung Foundation Australia Kha Kiang Khoo Memorial Award in ROS-1 Lung Cancer Research, valued at $20,000 + GST over a maximum of 2 years.
Kha Kiang Khoo sadly passed away just 52 days after her diagnosis with the rare cancer type, ROS-1 positive lung cancer. During her battle, it was reiterated by the medical team that little is known about ROS-1 Positive lung cancer, with less than 5% of all lung cancer cases classified as ROS-1 Positive. Her daughters, Michelle and Rachel, fundraised to support a grant in their mum’s name to better understand this aggressive disease and equip doctors with the knowledge to treat ROS-1 Positive patients in the future.
