Tender Description
The Works of this Contract comprise the supply of all labour, services, materials and plant necessary for:
1. Construction of 2.4km (approx.) long 375mm diameter PVC Series 2 Class 16 main, commencing at Howlong Water Treatment Plant in Pearce Street and generally traversing Pearce and Pell Streets to the Read Street Storage Tank site, in Howlong (Rising Main).
2. Construction of 1.1km (approx.) long 375mm diameter PVC Series 2 Class 16 main, in Townsend Street, from Victoria Street to Jude Street, including various cross-connections to existing water mains (Trunk Main).
3. The works include under boring council roads and reserves, under boring of trees and native vegetation, and location and protection of existing services, including major telecommunications infrastructure.
4. Construction of various pipeline appurtenances, such as valves, air release valve arrangements, scour valve arrangements, and provision for connection to existing and proposed water storage tanks and watermains.
5. Reinstatement of affected areas to Federation Council's satisfaction and to the satisfaction of the landowners and relevant public authorities. Signed off consent forms must be obtained by the contractor from all affected landowners and relevant public authorities, prior to issue of the certificate of Practical completion by the Principal.
6. Supply of "As Constructed" plans for the transfer main at the completion of construction, and prior to issue of the Certificate of Practical Completion by the Superintendent.
