Tender Description
This Specification covers the redevelopment of the existing cricket field to a multi-use facility and to include soccer and cricket. The site is at the Barry J Powell Recreation Reserve, off Halton Road, Noble Park.
The existing cricket field will be expanded to allow for a full-size senior soccer field and goals. There is an existing stormwater manhole in the southern boundary and will require the construction of a low retaining wall to protect infrastructure. It is also proposed to install soccer goal sleeves next to the retaining wall to allow for the storage of the soccer goals during off-season.
A new DDA compliant concrete footpath will be constructed from the existing car park to the picnic shelter. This will include the new line marking to identify two disabled car parking spaces. Picnic shelter to be protected during works.
The works include the implementation of new compliant LED sports lights for Soccer and cricket respectively.
Scope of Works
The extent of works covered in this specification relating to the supply, installation, and reconstruction of thesports field at Barry J Powell Recreation Reserve – Noble Park, and includes the following:
- Construction preliminaries
- Tree protection and specific site access requirements
- Protection of existing infrastructure and surrounds
- Identification & proofing of all existing underground services
- New retaining wall
- Extension and construction of sports field
- Construction of LED sports lighting to Tennis Club Competition – 350 LUX
- Installation of the following sports equipment:
* Installation of white powder coated removable, senior soccer goals – includes additional sleeves for storage of goals during off season
- Topsoil and instant turf reinstatement, including maintenance
- Construction of all paths and must be compliant to DDA requirements, access to picnic shelter, etc.
- Site Reinstatement
- Production of maintenance and operation manuals
- Production of as-built drawings
- Warranties and Operations & Maintenance Manual
