Tender Description

Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the

 
  • Reconstruction of four synthetic clay tennis court on existing en-tous-cas tennis court
  • Design, supply and installation of court lighting for two (2) courts.
               at Chelsworth Tennis Court, Ivanhoe, VIC, 3079.
 
As part of the Banyule City Council’s Capital Works Program for the year 2022-23, Council is planning to reconstruct the tennis court and install court lighting at the Chelsworth Tennis court.
 
Chelsworth Tennis Court is operated by Chelsworth Park Tennis Club and facilitates with four (4) outdoor clay courts with artificial lighting on two (2) courts. Due to the age of the court its surface & infrastructures require reconstruction with improved drainage and lighting for other two (2) courts.
 
The scope of works generally includes but is not limited to construction activities involving:
 
PART A:
 
  • Construction preliminaries
  • Site clearing, demolition works and disposal off-site, and protection of services and structures to be retained including existing lighting, stormwater pits,
  • concrete edging and fencing etc.
  • Supply and Installation of appropriate temporary supports and construction of new concrete sleeper block retaining wall, fencing.
  • Supply and Installation of drainage and backfill trenches with no fines concrete.
  • Supply, Place and compaction of crusher dust layer.
  • Supply, Place and compaction of asphalt layer and allow to cure.
  • Supply and Installation of ITF approved synthetic clay court system including line markings.
  • Supply and Installation of sports equipment.
  • Production of maintenance and operation manuals.
  • Production of as-built drawings.
PART B:
 
  • Design, supply and installation of artificial lighting (350 lux level) to two (2) courts to AS 2560.2:2021 and Tennis Australia recommendations for club competition games.
