Service Agreement for the Management and Operation of Koondrook Retreat

⁠⁠⁠EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF KOONDROOK RETREAT.

 

 

This Expression of Interest (EOI) seeks to identify appropriately experienced operators to submit formal offers for the management, and operation of the Park. The successful offeror will be required to manage and operate the Park and the use of the Park by the patrons in a professional manner and in accordance with all laws, guidelines and regulations and subject at all times to the terms as specified in the Service Agreement.

 

The recently established Koondrook Retreat is located alongside the Murray River and Gunbower Creek. The Park offers deluxe glamping options for tourists in a picturesque nature setting as a part of the Nature-Based Tourism Hub.

 

The Park features six (6) authentic 'glamping' style tents, landscaped gardens, fire pit and BBQ area, and canoe platform all linked to cycling tracks, canoe trails, and the proposed Kerang-Koondrook Rail Trail. The Hub also provides a footbridge over the Gunbower Creek that will provide visitors with access to the internal tracks and trails of the magnificent Gunbower State Forest and will become an important component of the future Murray River Adventure Trail; a multisport adventure trail that will extend the length of the Murray River.

 

 

2.1 Stage 1: Invitation for Expression of Interest Stage 1 requires offerors to register their interest in this opportunity prior to being provided with detailed Terms and Conditions of the Expression of Interest.

 

2.2 Stage 2: Expression of Interest Upon registration, interested parties shall be provided with the EOI Terms and Conditions and will have the opportunity to inspect the Park.

 

Offerors should then provide a detailed EOI Offer to Council for consideration addressing all submission requirements detailed in the EOI Terms and Conditions with the intention of demonstrating their experience and suitability for the management and operations position.

 

EOI Offers will be assessed against selection criteria and reviewed by representatives of the Council.

 

 

30 August 2022 - Advertisement of Expressions of Interest .

14 September 2022- Inspections for offerors (approx.).

27 September 2022 - Expressions of Interest close.

11 October 2022 - Acceptance date by Council. 

31 October 2022 - Selected Service Provider (approx.) announced.
