Tender Description
Cairns Regional Council (Council) has four closed landfills directly abutting the shoreline. In addition, many sporting fields and recreational areas in Cairns are built on historic landfills that were poorly managed at the time of operation. Council invites a quotation from a suitably qualified respondent to investigate the risk to the environment and public health from exposure of these sites to both sea level rise and increases in storm surges as identified as a priority activity in the Council Coastal Hazard Adaption Strategy.
