Tender Description
The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM) is an independent statutory authority established as a body corporate with perpetual succession by the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Act 1985 (VIFM Act).
The VIFM received funding in the 2021 State Budget to establish a Digital Transformation program, including the case management system replacement project. This stream aims to address the end-of-life status of the current Case Management System (CMS). The required outcome of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to select a vendor who can delivery, implementation and ongoing support of a case management solution that meets the functional and non-functional requirements of VIFM as outlined in the Business Requirements Document. .Implement and provide ongoing support of a contemporary Case Management System to replace the VIFM legacy system. The case management system is critical in maintaining the VIFM’s legislated requirement to deliver medical death investigation reports to the Victorian Coroner.

As the Victorian State election will be held on Saturday 26 November 2022, the Victorian Government will assume a caretaker role from 6:00 pm on 1 November 2022 until such time that either it becomes clear that the incumbent government will be returned, or when a new government is commissioned. In line with the caretaker conventions, the incoming government will determine whether to proceed with this tender process and enter into the contract after the caretaker period. Tenderers should be aware that:
