The English Online Interview (EOI) is a comprehensive online assessment suite providing diagnostic or screening information about the English skills of students between Foundation and Year 2, aligned to English in the Victorian Curriculum F-10. It identifies student’s early literacy strengths and areas requiring development in each mode of the English Learning Area (reading and viewing, writing, speaking and listening).

Work is underway by the Department of Education and Training (the department) to include additional items to assess students’ phonics skills in all four EOI assessment tools as enhancements to the suite. These enhancements will strengthen teacher capacity to assess students’ phonics knowledge and use this data to inform teaching. The enhanced EOI will be available for use state-wide at the beginning of 2023.

The DET Supplier Portal

The Department of Education and Training has now established the DET Supplier Portal.

The DET Supplier Portal will allow suppliers to access and respond to procurement opportunities from a number of Education portfolio entities, and to self-manage their organisation’s records on our system.

This Request for Quote (RFQ) is being issued and managed through the Supplier Portal. All information relating to this RFQ is being provided only through the Supplier Portal, and responses can only be submitted through the Supplier Portal.

To view further information on these open market approaches, suppliers must be registered on the Supplier Portal.

• Suppliers not previously engaged by DET can self-register on the Supplier Portal.
• Suppliers who have previously been engaged by DET should email the Supplier Portal team at DET (Oracle.Procurement.Cloud@education.vic.gov.au) to establish initial user accounts. Accounts will be created for staff of existing suppliers with suitable validation of identity.
• Established users in an organisation can then create user accounts for other users in the same organisation.

Once you are registered, you can log in from the DET Supplier Portal home page.

Responses to RFQs submitted through the Buying for Victoria Tenders Portal will not be accepted.
