Tender Description
Moonta Road is located in the township of Moonta Bay, and is the central road within this growing area.
Moonta Road is unique in its design. The road runs West from Haylock Road through a single two-way lane up to East Terrace, where it then divides into two separate one-way lanes up to Marine Parade.
Between these two lanes is a wide central median that is partially used for controlling storm water run-off through a swale drain and essentially makes up the site in where these upgrades are to occur.
The scope of works includes the upgrade and continuation of this swale drain and the undergrounding of storm water infrastructure. Moonta Road stormwater upgrade will join into the already completed stormwater upgrade on East Terrace that included the construction of a new detention basin.
Council has completed the ‘for construction’ design and specifications. Council has also completed the lowering of conflicting Telstra and NBN services and the stormwater basin depicted on sheet 08 of 16 within the attached plans.
There is a strong desire for works to be completed by the December 16th 2022.
