Tender Description
Expressions of Interest will be sought from proponents with the suitable skills, experience and qualifications to provide water remediation and pit backfill services as part of the Rum Jungle rehabilitation project.
Services may include but are not limited to:
- Design, construction, maintenance, operation and decommissioning of a Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The WTP will be a key aspect of the Main Pit dewatering process and will include a system for managing and treating surface water and groundwater throughout the site.
- Design, develop and implement a contemporary works methodology to undertake all works necessary to backfill the Main Pit.
Interested proponents must be willing to participate in a collaborative early contractor involvement process.
All head contractors and relevant sub-contractors engaged to undertake the key works must have, at the time of any formal tendering processes, and continue to maintain compliance with the following:
- The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016;
- Accreditation under the Australian Government Building and Construction Industry Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme; and
- Must be accredited or recognised by Contractor Accreditation Limited (CAL) to a rating that is equal to or higher than its offer in the relevant CAL category and group.
