GWY_2023_T02 - County Boundary Road Reconstruction and Bitumen Sealing – Pallamallawa
The purpose of this procurement is to facilitate a contract that will deliver value for money for Gwydir Shire Council for the rehabilitation work at County Boundary Road Pallamallawa - Reconstruction and Bitumen sealing - 12.3 km section between Croppa Creek and Crooble.
The tender submissions for Tender GWY_2022_T07 was reported to Council at the May 2022 Council meeting at which time Council resolved to:-
It is recommended that Council
1. Declines all tenders,
2. enter into negotiations with any person (whether or not the person was a tenderer) with a view to entering into a contract in relation to the subject matter of the tender due to all tenders been over budget, and
3. requests additional funding from the funding body.
The negotiation process has been undertaken and Council now invites new tender for the updated scope of works for at County Boundary Road Pallamallawa - Reconstruction and Bitumen sealing - 12.3 km section between Croppa Creek and Crooble
The works are to be completed in accordance with Transport for NSW QA site specific specifications.
The updated works in this tender will include the following items
- Earthworks
- Pavement Works 200mm base DGB20 400mm stabilise existing pavement 3.5% Quick Lime
- Reduced Drainage works
- Change to culvert installation
- Reduced Causeway Construction
- Initial bitumen seal C170 10mm flush seal
- Final bitumen seal S45R 14mm final seal
- All excess materials will need to be removed from site to the stockpile site.
The tender schedule has two options for tendering, contractors can tender on one or both tender schedules. Council will only be awarding one contract.
- Option 1 is for the full scope of the works listed above.
- Option 2 is for the drainage works only.
Any suitably qualified person willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract is invited to submit a Tender to Gwydir Shire Council by the deadline 2:00pm Thursday 1 September 2022 (“Closing Date”). Responsibility for lodgement of completed tender documents by the deadline lies solely with the Tenderer. Tender lodgement information described in Item 7 below.
Pricing is to be on a lump sum fixed price basis in accordance with the Pricing Schedule.
