Tender Description
Suppliers are invited by the State of Queensland (acting through the Department of Transport and Main Roads) to submit an offer for Invitation to Offer No. TMRICT22056 for a hardware and software based system to:
- monitor (in real-time) for unsafe device usage by drivers; and
- provide an immediate prompt to drivers to improve behaviour
The offered system needs to:
- accurately detect unsafe device usage quickly enough for near realtime response;
- prompt unsafe drivers with an immediate corrective message;
- use equipment that is sized appropriately to position next to residential streets
- involve the supplier commissioning equipment on site;
- be able to operate without site power;
- comply with the TMR Road Planning and Design Manual 2nd Edition;
- provide data to TMR to allow for analysis (e.g. rate of detection)
