The Bay Street East Depot will be a new, multi-story state-of-the-art depot building located in Ultimo, Sydney.

The Project site is located on the eastern side of the existing Bay Street Depot site, which has been continuously operated by the City for over 100 years. The depot has evolved with the transformation of the surrounding area in this time; and the City is now planning for the next 100 years of operations.

The City takes pride in its public buildings, for their design and for the part they play in the civic life of our communities. Buildings developed by the City should embody the value the City places in our communities by enhancing the quality of the built environment and public domain.
The City's vision for the Bay Street East Depot project is for an innovative design for a new multi-storey sustainable and resilient '100 year' depot facility that enhances the rich urban fabric of Ultimo. The Project will deliver a state-of-the-art civic building that is a good neighbour in the community, making a positive contribution in a vibrant and dense urban area.

The City is seeking to engage an inspiring and suitably qualified Head Design Consultant (HDC) team to work with us in the delivery of this critical piece of infrastructure.
