Tender Description
Hydro Tasmania has been requested to provide an electrical point of connection to the existing Scheelite Mine at Grassy on King Island.
It has been determined that the current electricity distribution infrastructure is inadequate for the proposed load requirements of the mine, consequently, upgrades to the 11kV feeder are required as follows:
1. Grassy Harbour Road Feeder. Upgrade of approximately 2.9 km (refer to design for number of poles) of overhead distribution line. This includes upgrade of distribution aerial conductors as required, including new conductor, route realignment and pole/hardware replacements as required for the increased tip loads on poles.
2. Old Grassy Road Feeder. Upgrade of approximately 8.5 km (an estimated 78 - 100 poles) of overhead distribution line. This includes upgrade of distribution aerial conductors as required, including new conductor, route realignment and pole/hardware replacements as required for the increased tip loads on poles.
All works are to be completed by 14 October 2022
