PUKEKOHE STATION WORKS
The initial strategy for the Pukekohe Station intended to approach the market advertising following packages of work:
• RFT CW01 Package including all Civil works at the Pukekohe Station.
• RFT CW02 Package including all Building and structures works at Pukekohe Station.
As the technical team developed the Scope of Works split for the CW01 and CW02 Pukekohe Station Civil and Building Structures packages, it became challenging to delineate the scope of works and interfaces between both contracts’ responsibilities, including its associated risks and liabilities.
Another critical consideration that triggered a change is the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA)’s PCBU’s Interface and Risk Management of overleaping duties and liabilities for and on behalf of KiwiRail, within a live rail environment.
KRG has therefore decided to merge the Scope of Works and to tender one package only for the Pukekohe Station, namely: CW01 – Pukekohe Station Works, which includes both Civil and Building & Structures scopes.
