Parkes Shire Council is inviting proposals from selected firms to undertake a Masterplan of the Parkes Western Entry corridor.
The Parkes Western Entry Masterplan will be used by Council to assist with more detailed planning of the western entry to Parkes, which may lead to upgrades to the public road network, including associated infrastructure such as concrete kerb and gutter and road shoulder improvements, landscaping including street trees, footpath and bike paths, street lighting, wayfinding signage and drainage improvements.
The Masterplan will also be used to explore the merits of land-use changes along the road corridor as well as opportunities for new activities and services such as parking improvements.
Council is seeking the services of an urban design team to undertake the master planning work to a point where preliminary civil design plans, indicative cost plans and analysis reports are completed and workshopped with Council and the wider community.
