Network Aerial Surveys (Cycle 8+)

⁠⁠⁠Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) will be seeking proposals for Doc15887775 Network Aerial Surveys (Cycle 8+) in mid-July.

Background and Scope:

EQL conducts inspection and survey programs to identify vegetation encroachments and overhead conductor clearance issues. From this, the business develops mitigation works to ensure the network safety and reliability of EQL’s distribution network is maintained or improved.

EQL engages multiple service providers (internal and external) that conduct aerial survey of network assets. This work generates the following types of surveillance data:

• LiDAR (Point cloud) data at various levels of accuracy and density according to acquisition technology
• 2D and 3D imagery such as high-resolution photographs, orthorectified imagery and satellite imagery
• 3D Overhead Network Assets (e.g. conductors) and Terrain (e.g. ground/structure) models
• 3D Substation Models and
• Associated environmental information (dimensional and climatic at time of capture).

The scope encompasses provision of aerial survey services of Energy Queensland’s complete overhead distribution and transmission network infrastructure, including any adjacent natural and/or built environments. These survey services include data (LiDAR & corridor imagery) acquisition, geospatial mapping, data processing, condition assessment, analysis performed, data management systems, data transfer systems, analytical tools and spatial modelling systems.

The tender is being conducted in EQL’s online tendering tool, SAP Ariba.

All relevant documentation (including the proposed Agreement, Scope and Response Schedules) will be available on SAP Ariba from 13 July 2022 until 2:30pm 24 August 2022. Deadline for clarifications will be 3:00pm 15 August 2022.
