Tender Description

This Request for Tender is for the provision of "Fire Services" to the NGV at NGV International, 180 St. Kilda Road site.

A Mandatory site visit will be held on Friday 1 July 2022. For details regarding time and meeting location, please register your attendance via email-procurement@ngv.vic.gov.au please note there is a maximum of 2 representatives per company permitted to attend.

Scope is for the maintenance of the Fire Services at NGV site covers the following main areas:
Gallery Building;
Art School Administration building and associated extension wing;
Office, stores and Laboratory areas in upper basement; and
Art Loading Bay.

This incorporates the fire services preventive maintenance requirements at the NGV site for the equipment namely:
Portable Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets;
Fire Hose Reels;
Fire Sprinkler Systems;
Fire Hydrants and Fire Mains;
Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Fire Indicator Panels, Fire Brigade Connections and Fire Control Centres;
Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS) and paging system;
Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems;
Fire Pumpsets;
Fire and smoke doors;
Exit doors;
Fire rated access panels;
Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA);
Breathing Apparatus; and
Eye wash & show stations
Works specified herein to be carried out is for hydraulics services, moat and fountain systems, comprise:
a) Planned preventive maintenance works throughout the site;
b) Corrective breakdown and emergency maintenance as required from time to time and as generally described herein;
c) Testing and maintenance of the systems as required by the Australian Standards and Authorities to comply with the Victorian Building Regulations Essential Safety Measures Maintenance Manual (Edition 4) and all preventive maintenance requirements; and
d) Documentation and recording of maintenance and test results to comply with preventive maintenance requirements and as required by the Australian Standards and Authorities to comply with the Victorian Building Regulations 1994 (Amendment) Essential Services requirements, including period certification and annual certification.

The intent is to fulfil all statutory maintenance and performance verification responsibilities of NGV with regard to the Services and provide preventive maintenance in general accordance with the Building Commission's Essential Services Maintenance Manual and applicable Australian Standards.
