SA Water Corporation invites tenders from potential suppliers for the provision of oil sample testing services for SA Water.
SA Water has identified and recognized that one of the most important components of condition-based maintenance (CBM), is the practice of assessing a machine’s condition by periodically gathering data on key machine health indicators to determine maintenance schedules.
The testing of oil samples is important to keep oil in gearboxes, transformers, motors and pumps, in a clean state, free of contaminants and identify any particles of interest. Knowing how to interpret changing lubricant properties can increase both the uptime and the life of mission critical assets. The existence or volume of debris and particles from wearing parts, erosion and contamination provide insights about the issues affecting performance and reliability.
We require the expertise of a suitably qualified contractor to undertake oil sample testing and analysis services. The Contractor shall collaborate with our Reliability and Condition Monitoring teams to provide oil analysis results/interpretation with a 13 weekly testing frequency of oil samples acquired from motors/pumps and transformers.
