Shopping Trolley Management Program

⁠⁠⁠The Shopping Trolley Management Program has been established to manage the ongoing issue of shopping trolleys being abandoned on Council land surrounding major shopping precincts. The scope for the tender includes daily patrols of major shopping precincts throughout the Council municipality and the collection and delivery of trolleys to Council’s Operations Centre Depot.

The key statistics relating to Council’s current Services are:

1. Daily patrols are conducted for 5 major shopping precinct areas in the Melton municipality.
2. An average of 30 shopping trolleys are collected each week, however this can vary between 15-100 trolleys.

Objectives of the RFT

1. provide daily patrols of major shopping precincts and collect any shopping trolleys that have been abandoned on Council Land; and
2. deliver any collected trolleys to Melton City Council’s Operations Centre at 98-100 High Street, Melton VIC 3337.
