Expression of Interest - Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee - External Members

⁠⁠⁠Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking to appoint three suitably qualified independent members to its Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee.

The Committee is an advisory committee whose objective is to provide independent assurance and assistance to Upper Hunter Shire Council on risk management, internal control, governance and external accountability responsibilities.

The Committee consists of three (3) external members (one of whom is the chairperson) and two Councillors. The Committee shall meet at least four times per year in Scone, with the first meeting of the new Committee to be held in September. Remote attendance is also available.

Applications are now being sought from interested persons with appropriate qualifications, skills and expertise, preferably in the areas of financial management, auditing, risk management and regulatory compliance. The Committee Charter is available on Council’s website.
