Tender Description
Toowoomba Regional Council receives self hauled Green Waste at a number of Waste Management Facilities operated throughout the region.
Currently, at each of the Waste Management Facilities, Green Waste received by customers is shredded and transported off site by an appointed contractor for reuse and recycling.
This contract arrangement is currently due for renewal.
Council has taken the opportunity to review of the current receival, stockpiling and processing methodology and will change the contract scope in any new contract arrangement to an improved model.
The proposed new scope will include minimal stockpiling of Green Waste received, with collection, transportation and processing for beneficial reuse to be the responsibility of the contractor and its associated downstream processors.
