Tender Description
Narrandera Shire Council is assisting the Narrandera Race Club with procurement process and project management of the new Amenity Building at Narrandera Racetrack. A concept design has been developed for the project which is to be used as the basis of for construction design and tender.
Council on behalf of the Narrandera Race Club has now decided to engage an experienced and suitably qualified Contractor to prepare the detailed design and construct the Amenity Building that must include:
• The structure must be based upon the preliminary designs as provided, unless specified below.
• The Amenity Building is to be designed to be DDA compliant. Access from the betting ring shall be suitable for wheelchair access to comply to the Australian Standard, AS1428.1 – Design for Access and Mobility.
• Internal floor level must be no leas than 150mm above the existing level of the betting ring.
• Raft slab to be 110mm thick with 1 layer of F92, edge beams to be 500d x 300 with 3TM11.
• External cladding to match the existing function centre.
• Weather proofing is to be provided between the amenities and betting ring.
• All materials and equipment required to undertake the project are to be included within the costings.
• Provision must be made for the preparation and submission of the Development and Construction certificate application with Narrandera Shire council, with the Council to assume the role of Principle Certifier.
