Tender Description

The Committee for Joint College Training (CJCT) in Nuclear Medicine seeks expressions of interest from Nuclear Medicine Fellows to join the CJCT as a Recent Fellow Representative.

 
The CJCT seeks a Recent Fellow Representative from either an RACP or a RANZCR background.
 
CJCT key responsibilities:
  • monitor and assess individual trainee progress in nuclear medicine training matters
  • confirm completion of training requirements to progress a trainee to Fellowship
  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors in nuclear medicine
  • assess Recognition of Prior Learning
  • monitor and review training program requirements and curricula in nuclear medicine, in consultation with the relevant stakeholders and recommend changes to the College Education Committee via the Adult Medicine Division Education Committee and Paediatric & Child Health Division Education Committee
  • advise on assessment and resource content
  • advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians, as requested
  • provide advice on specialty specific CPD and other educational resources for members where appropriate
  • modify training requirements for individual trainees in accordance with College policies and procedures when required
  • assess and provide advice on specialist recognition in nuclear medicine for Fellows in the Adult Medicine Division Education and Paediatric and Child Health Division who have not completed the Nuclear Medicine Advanced Training program.
The role would suit a new Fellow who:
 
  • has spent under three to five years as a consultant
  • is committed to attend the required CJCT meetings
  • can effectively allow for time commitments, multiple responsibilities and workloads of an CJCT member.
The CJCT holds 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney and 1 video conference a year, with additional video conferences if necessary.
 
Members are appointed to the CJCT for an initial 3-year term, with the option to renew a further term.
