Tender Description
Federation University Australia is seeking to engage a reputable, capable and experienced builder to provide services in renovating and extending an existing facility on our Mount Helen Campus to suit a revised use as a teaching laboratory for composites (fibreglass) engineering.
Requirements is for a builder to complete a renovation of and extension to the existing facility. This will refit one room to be a grinding and sanding room, with dust extraction and support for specified tools. Another room will be refit for practice in the formation of fibreglass products, including storage of chemicals. In addition, the existing outdoor undercover area is to be modified to include student amenities and preparation space.
The full scope of works is described in the specification and drawings. The works involve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic modifications, internal linings, internal lightweight construction and construction of an amenities block as an extension, among other details.
The successful tenderer will be required to hold a current commercial builders license.
