Overview
This fund subsidises the cost for endorsed registered training organisations (RTOs) to provide nationally recognised training in either skills sets or qualifications for existing workers.
There are 2 application streams:
employer applications
- business group applications.
This fund prioritises the areas of skills demand in priority industries outlined within the ministerial priorities for training and workforce development document found in the fund guidelines.
What are the eligibility requirements?
To be eligible, organisations must:
- hold Skills Tasmania Endorsed RTO status at the time of application
- be financially viable
- agree to meet conditions and contractual obligations
- provide training to eligible learners for the program.
Eligible learners for the Skills Fund program:
- must be employed (including self-employed) at the time of application and throughout the training period
- are not restricted to one training program per round, so can enrol in more than one qualification or skill set per round
- can undertake more than one nationally recognised qualification, course, or skill set.
