Tender Description
SMRC is seeking an independent consultancy to assist councillors develop a project brief to undertake a comprehensive audit of Council’s financial position. The objective is that project brief be used to go to market to seek an appropriately qualified organisation to undertake the comprehensive audit. Council also requires an estimated total cost, including staff time, required to undertake the comprehensive audit.
It is Council’s expectation that there would be minimal staff involvement in the development of the project brief and that there would be at least on-site workshops with Councillors and the independent members of Council’s Audit Risk and Improvement Committee.
Council is looking to be in a position to call for requests to carry out the independent audit by 30 June 2022.
