This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The APS4 Cyber Security Analyst is accountable under general direction to undertake moderately complex tasks that provides security operations support across the Agency, including identification, protection, detection, response and recovery from cyber security events.
The APS4 Cyber Security Analyst will provide specialist support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in specific areas of the Agency’s Cyber Security function and will work as part of the Cyber Security Operations team to ensure the Agency's products, systems and services are managing risk appropriately and protecting customers’ interests.
Provide specialist, technical and administrative support for the Agency’s Cyber Security functions; applying practical and procedural knowledge and understanding of Australian Government security standards including:
o Attorney General’s Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF);
o Australian Signal’s Directorate Information Security Manual (ISM); and
o Agency ICT security plans, policies and procedures.
Apply well developed data analytical skills to extract meaning from application and system logs; monitoring, analysing and contributing to the response of security events and threats; providing support to ensure Agency's products, systems and services manage security risks appropriately.
Responsible for managing competing requests, demands and priorities; monitoring and identifying emerging and potential security risks; providing timely and relevant details of potential security incidents and risks to supervising security analysts as they are discovered.
