It also contains centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, and genomics. To support these services, Radiology provides a comprehensive tertiary referral service provided by Radiologists with subspecialty expertise. The full range of diagnostic and interventional services is provided for emergency, inpatients, and outpatients of the RMH, with over 200,000 inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed each year. The existing Level 1 MRI service is an integral clinical support service for the inpatient units, emergency department, critical care, clinical research, and outpatient services of RMH.
The scope of works related to the procurement of the main contractor contained within this plan, is for the internal fit out of the existing level 6 North Wing. The Level 6 North Wing fit out creates the relocation and expansion of the Outpatients department. The level 6 North Wing fit out of the relocated Outpatients department is a decanting project that enables the larger level 9 fit out of North Wing Expansion and North Wing to occur. This project, Level 6 fit out is contingent of the existing services vacating the area by the 15th of July 2022 to enable the works to commence on the 1st of August and completed by the 10th of February 2023.
