The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) has a requirement for Application Developers (multiple) to manage the delivery of upcoming or inflight projects within the Digital Services Division (DSD).

 

DSD is responsible for the management and delivery of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) functions and activities across Australia and overseas for the department. The division provides a secure, modern ICT environment so that the department can conduct its business 24/7 and focus on achieving departmental outcomes. DSD staff work collaboratively across the department, taking advantage of advances in technology, to deliver end-to-end services and solutions that are nationally consistent and deliver organisational and business benefits.

 

 

• Undertake activities in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including analysis, design, development, testing and deployment;

• Undertake production support work involving problem solving and troubleshooting errors that arise from the operation of business software systems; and

• Work within a team to support and enable business areas through IT solutions.

 

 

• Analysis/Design/Code/Test improvements to Import Systems as directed;

• System documentation;

• Software development and change release activities;

• Stakeholder engagement and relationship management with business and technical stakeholders as required;

• Assist troubleshooting and problem resolution activities arising from operational incidents;

• Assist on Business As Usual development on Imports systems applications;

• Assist with Server modernisation project;

• Backfill and assist on development project work on Imports systems.

 

Please note, flexible working arrangements are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment while COVID restrictions or staged return to workplace conditions are in place, but under normal circumstances this role is expected to be undertaken at least 3 days per week face to face in the office.
