User research and usability testing, report and recommendations
Tender ID: 491603
Tender Details
Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The National Archives' website, naa.gov.au, underwent a major redevelopment in 2018 to 2019 in response to a comprehensive 2014 review.
The revised design and architecture was informed by the results of the review, plus further stakeholder consultation and usability testing.
The redeveloped website has now been in operation for over 2 years. We are therefore seeking to review how well the revised design, information architecture and content meet our users’ needs, including whether our audiences experience any residual or new pain points.
We are seeking a user experience specialist to carry out user research and usability testing to answer questions including:
• How well have the key findings and recommendations of the 2014 review been addressed?
• Are people finding what they expect to find where they expect to find it?
• Does the information architecture make sense to users?
• Does the language used make sense to users?
• How do people understand the relationship between the corporate site and other naa.gov.au domains, especially RecordSearch?
You will need to produce and present a written report outlining the findings and make recommendations for addressing them. We will draw on the results and recommendations to implement improvements to the site.
