Event Funding Opportunity through NSW Government

⁠⁠⁠Greater Hume Council has been advised of its allocation of the NSW Government's Reconnecting Regional NSW - Community Event Program. To help identify priority projects for funding Greater Hume Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community and sporting event organizers in Greater Hume.

I am excited about the funding opportunities our community and sporting events, both existing and new events will receive through the NSW Governments Reconnecting Regional NSW Community Event Program allocation and urge all groups and organizations to consider submitting an Expression of Interest, said Mayor Cr Tony Quinn.

Eligible existing and new events are community markets and bazaars, festivals and fairs, sporting events, food and leisure events, recovery events, community classes and workshops, agricultural field days (run by community organizations), regional racing carnivals (eg, horse or greyhound racing) run by community organizations, touring events and theatre programs and community public holiday celebrations (eg Australia Day or Anzac Day).

Greater Hume Council has been allocated a total of $301,708.

In considering potential events sporting and community groups should be mindful that there are many diverse organisations across Greater Hume that will be seeking funding CR Quinn said.

Greater Hume Council - Timeline for Expressions of Interest:

• Thursday 14 April 2022 - Expressions of Interest open
• Wednesday 25 May 2022 - Expressions of Interest close
• Wednesday 8 June 2022 - Expressions of Interest assessed and shortlisted (Shortlisted organizations contacted by Council to finalize applications for funding)
• 5pm AEST Friday 24 June 2022 - Final Day for submission of shortlisted Applications by Council to NSW Government.
