The City of Bunbury (City) are investigating the feasibility of building an ocean pool at Wyalup Rocky Point, located north of the Bunbury Back Beach. An ocean pool in this location would provide members of the public with a safe swimming location on this rugged and potentially hazardous section of coastline
As part of the 2021 feasibility study, RPS was engaged to complete a preliminary environmental due diligence report. RPS identified two Aboriginal heritage sites within the vicinity of the proposed ocean pool development (RPS, 2020). It was recommended that a detailed Aboriginal heritage investigation be completed to reduce the project risks and progress the proposal.
