Yarriambiack Shire Council (Council) are seeking to appoint a Panel of Preferred Suppliers to provide training to our staff.  This training will consist of a varied range of courses to be undertaken at times agreed upon by both the training organisation and the Council.  Applicants are invited to provide Offers for some or all the courses listed in the Specifications. 

A sample of the listing of training in the Specifications includes, but is not limited to:-

First Aid & CPR; Good Governance; Certificate 3 in WHS; Traffic Management Plan Implementation; Work Safely at Heights; Chemical Users Permit; Skid Steer, Grader, Roller, Forklift, Backhoe & Excavator Operation; Traffic Control; Heavy Rigid Licencing; Asbestos Awareness, Safe Handling of Sharps & Infectious Waste; GPS/Laser Levelling Training; Operate Small Plant & Equipment; Construction Induction (White Card).

Training of staff will take place between two locations, Hopetoun and Warracknabeal.  Training rooms and facilities will be provided by Yarriambiack Shire Council.

Council acknowledges that in some situations staff requiring specialised training will have to attend locations other than the listed sites to complete testing and licensing requirements.

Yarriambiack Shire Council is one of the largest employers in the Shire and places the safety and training of its staff at the highest level.  The objective of this project is to ensure all required training takes place in a timely manner, whilst ensuring quality of training and value for money.

Council aims to work with the successful invitee/s to establish a set program over a five-year period to ensure efficient delivery of training to staff.
