Scope of Work
Rio Tinto requires a service provider to complete battery upgrades at 20 rail communications sites across the Rio Tinto rail network. Works to be conducted includes but is not limited to the following:
- Install 2 new Morningstar maximum power point tracking (MPPT) solar regulators at each site
- Install 25 new lithium batteries at each site (GenZ is preferred)
- Install new dual bay battery cabinets at each site to house the new batteries and regulators
- Test and commission new installation
- Cutover of new battery system
- Recover and dispose of old lead acid batteries and cabinets
