Data and Analytics Platform Integration Architect

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment (DAWE) is developing a reusable enterprise risk assessment capability to leverage data driven risk assessments to support its operations.

This work will require departmental information to be captured in a data and analytics platform on Azure cloud to perform risk assessments using risk filters such as analytics. Results are then to be operationalised through DAWE systems or shared with other Government departments and DAWE partners.

The specialist will have successfully worked with a variety of senior stakeholders to communicate the architecture vision, gain acceptance and endorsement of the design from principal / enterprise / lead architects.

The role is to work with multi-disciplinary teams to guide the development of a suitable architecture to realise the requirement of a data driven risk assessment capability. This will require engagement with a range of Department stakeholders and development of a range of architectural documentation to capture and communicate the resulting architecture for approval and implementation.

The specialist will be required to produce the architecture for and assist implementation teams to build the system.

This work will require the design of data pipelines to capture the required information and prepare it for processing. The specialist will also need to work on the design of data stores to hold and manipulate the information.

The specialist will ideally have worked as the lead for an architect team developing architectures for related systems in government. The specialist will work with cross program teams and provided mentoring as required, ensuring solution architectures are integrated appropriately within the programme and aligned with enterprise architecture.

The specialist will have had 10 or more years technical experience in IT and will have worked directly within IT architecture for a minimum of 2 years.

The specialist will have produced relevant architectural artefacts such as conceptual, logical, physical and solution architecture.
